Lawyers for Mr. Cosby, now in prison for sexual assault, had asked the trial judge to overturn the jury’s verdict based on a number of grounds.
Camille Cosby told the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board in a letter that she views the judge who presided over her husband’s trial to be unethical.
The lawyers and Camille Cosby argued that the judge should have previously disclosed a feud he had with a key witness in the case.
Bill Cosby’s lawyers said publicity about the case had tainted any prospective jury in Montgomery County, Pa., where the trial is to start in June.
The lawyers want to have criminal charges dismissed against Mr. Cosby.
